New Book Denise Gow

The Pop-Up Bookshop is over the moon to have a limited supply of the brand-new book by Denise Gow

This wonderful pocket book is an adaption of a play written by Denise that was originally performed at the Sarah Thorne theatre in Broadstairs, the seaside home of Dickens.


Telling the tale of the friendship between Ada Lovelace and Charles Dickens, from Ada's early years through to her deathbed, where story has it Dickens was present.

The Lost Madonna. Lucrezia, a young nun in 15th-century Florence, is painted by Filippo Lippi as the Madonna col Bambino. Through the eyes of a group of icon painters in modern-day Florence, Lucrezia’s story unfolds along with the corruption of her innocence. Denise’s extraordinary historical and contemporary novel gives the reader a chance to enjoy the golden paintings, the food and romance of Florence along with the secret of icons and the mystery which besets the icon painters.


Keeping Love Alive. A superb collection of short stories, the book also contains access to an audio recording of the stories for those who enjoy listening to a book.
